THE SOUND OF MUSIC
Broadway’s Perennial Classic is coming to Hong Kong!
The International Tour of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s THE SOUND OF MUSIC, produced by Broadway International Group and Co-Presented by CAEG, will make its Hong Kong Premiere from 16th April, 2024 at the magnificent Grand Theatre of Hong Kong’s Xiqu Centre, West Kowloon Cultural District, celebrating the 65th Anniversary of this beloved classic family musical.
This highly acclaimed original production tells the uplifting true story of Maria, the fun-loving governess who changed the lives of the widowed Captain Von Trapp and his seven children by reintroducing them to music, culminating in the family's flight across the Austrian mountains as tensions rise prior to the outbreak of World War II.
Woven in this tale of love, compassion, hope and survival are classic songs that have enchanted generations of theatre land music lovers. Hong Kong audiences will hear musical favourites live, Do-Re-Mi, Climb Ev’ry Mountain, Edelweiss, My Favourite Things and the beloved title song, The Sound of Music.
